What an incredible few days at the LNI Spring Conference 2026 in beautiful Prague.

This year’s conference brought together colleagues from across the network to explore two of the most important challenges and opportunities facing the legal profession today: the impact of artificial intelligence on legal practice and the importance of mental health and well-being in our profession.

One clear theme emerged across the two days, AI and well-being are not separate conversations. The way firms introduce AI will shape how their people experience work. Done thoughtfully, it removes the grind of repetitive tasks and gives lawyers more room for the judgment, client relationships and thinking that make the job worthwhile. Done badly, it piles on pressure and leaves people feeling  ‘overloaded’. The qualities that sustain lawyers also happen to be the qualities AI cannot replace.

Alongside the formal sessions, the conference offered valuable opportunities to reconnect, exchange ideas and strengthen relationships across the LNI network.

We enjoyed exploring the historic city of Prague with special highlights including our visit to The Senate and a dinner cruise on the Vltava. The perfect setting for both professional and personal connections.

Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed and helped make the conference such a success. We leave Prague with fresh perspectives, practical insights and stronger connections across our international legal community.

The LNI Fall Conference 2025 brought our members together in vibrant Mexico City for three days of discussion, discovery, and connection. Hosted by Sesma, this year’s event reflected both the energy of Mexico and the collaborative spirit that defines Legal Network International.

A Warm Mexican Welcome

From Thursday’s impromptu lunch that introduced delegates to the heights of modern Mexican cuisine, to Saturday’s unforgettable gala dinner and fiesta, the hospitality from our hosts was exceptional. Every detail — from the venues to the cuisine — captured the warmth and generosity for which Mexico is known.

Insightful Conversations and Global Perspectives

The programme explored major forces shaping our firms and clients:

• ESG – its surprising historical roots and evolving commercial opportunities.
• Tariffs and International Trade – the tension between regulation, sustainability, and competitive advantage.
• Doing Business in Mexico – a fascinating insight into the passion and entrepreneurial drive behind Mexican industry.

The programme was as rich in content as in setting. Friday’s sessions challenged us to look beyond borders – from ESG’s unexpected historical roots and future business opportunities, to the nuanced discussion on tariffs and the balance between regulation and growth. Saturday’s member-led sessions highlighted what makes LNI unique. Saturday showcased the best of LNI: members sharing their developments and innovations in the fields of AI, digitalisation, international sanctions and facilitating the management of family-owned businesses, and demonstrating that we are not only lawyers but innovators and entrepreneurs.

That spirit was celebrated in full during our Saturday night LNI Awards, recognising the energy, creativity, and commitment of our members.

Beck Rechtsanwälte were honoured for their strong presence at the conference and their consistent engagement across LNI activities.

JP Karsenty received recognition as the Best Contributors to Digital Marketing, with a special mention to Thomas Ricard and Pierre Trusson for their monthly IP updates.

Yuki Ichikawa of Sato Ichikawa travelled the furthest to join us — an impressive 11,300 kilometres from Japan!

Daniel Sens of Beck Rechtsanwälte was recognised as the Most Committed Younger Member, and Marius Stanciu and Victor Buju of Buju Stanciu jointly earned the title of Night Owls for keeping the spirit of LNI alive well into the evening.

Carlos Sesma Sr. of Sesma & Sesma was celebrated as an LNI Statesman, in recognition of his ongoing dedication to the network and his role in making the Mexico conference such a success.

Shared Values, Shared Success

Reflecting on the conference, Chairman Marc Gouden  commented:

We now look forward to our next gathering in Prague, May 2026, hosted by Petráš Rezek. Another city, another opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate what makes this network so special.

The LNI Spring Conference 2025 in Milan brought together lawyers from across the globe for three days of energising discussion, practical insight, and Italian hospitality at its finest. Hosted by Rucellai & Raffaelli, the event captured the collaborative spirit and future promise of boutique and mid-size firms in today’s evolving legal landscape.

We welcomed 45 delegates from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas, including new faces from Bridgepoint in Dubai and SD Legal in India. The energy in the room was unmistakable — a reflection of both the diversity of our members and the growing momentum behind LNI’s shared purpose.

The programme opened with a dynamic speed networking session, followed by four thought-provoking panels:

• “Getting AI Right: Augmenting What Makes You Unique” – A practical look at how firms can adopt AI to enhance their strengths rather than dilute them.
• “Diversity and Inclusion: Only a Value or a Competitive Advantage?” – Exploring how inclusive strategies can drive firm-wide growth.
• “Legal Market Dynamics: The Competitive Landscape Analysed Through Data” – How smart firms are using insight and intelligence to stay ahead.
• “Competition for Talent: Which Leverages Beyond Remuneration?” – A candid discussion on how to stand out in a fierce recruitment market.

Saturday’s agenda turned inward, with breakout groups reflecting on what makes LNI valuable. Themes of collaboration, mutual learning, and relationship-building surfaced time and again. The day also featured engaging presentations from our hosts and new member firm SD Legal, followed by a lively continuation of the AI conversation led by our marketing consultant, Vikki Bentwood, who shared practical strategies for using AI to fuel business growth.

We wrapped up with the now-legendary LNI Oscars – a celebration of participation, commitment, and a few light-hearted accolades that added plenty of sparkle to Saturday night. It was a fitting end to a conference that balanced business and camaraderie so well.

As LNI Chairman Marc Gouden reflected:

“This network is not just about referrals. It’s about building relationships that empower us all to grow stronger together.”

With exceptional venues, insightful discussions, and unforgettable evenings, Milan reminded us why LNI remains such a valuable and vibrant network. We look forward to continuing these conversations — next stop: Mexico, October 2025.
