LNI London 2026: Ideas, Courtrooms, and Good Company

From 22 to 25 October, members of Legal Network International met in London for our autumn conference, hosted by W Legal at The Bloomsbury Hotel.  Colleagues from across the network came together to share experience, compare notes on the challenges facing their firms, and enjoy everything the city had to offer.

Time to think about the business

A theme ran through much of the programme: how rarely lawyers get the chance to step away from client work and think about how their firms are run. The conference gave members that space.

Over two mornings, sessions covered law firm profitability and current trends in the legal market, business development and marketing, AI and technology, and the role of investigators in litigation. A discussion on leadership and management looked at the pressures on the people who lead and manage firms, and at how firms can better support them. A session on the UK judiciary and life as a UK judge offered a rare view from the other side of the bench.

We were also pleased to hear from The Legal 500 on our global profile, and from Legora, LNI’s technology partner, about the partnership and the pilot now under way with member firms.

London at its best (weather aside)

The social programme showed off the city. On Friday, delegates toured the Royal Courts of Justice before dinner at the Reform Club on Pall Mall. On Saturday evening, a vintage Routemaster bus took the group around London with drinks on board. The British weather did its best to hide the sights, but it did nothing to dampen the mood.

The bus tour ended at Browns in Covent Garden, where we had dinner in the Old Judges Courtroom. After the LNI closing speech and awards, the Piano Man played all the classic tunes and kept the room lively well into the night.

What makes LNI

As always, the real value of the weekend was in the people. LNI conferences bring together lawyers from different jurisdictions and practices who know and trust one another, and many friendships go back years. That makes for open discussion, and for referral relationships built on knowing each other well.

Our thanks go to W Legal for hosting, to our speakers and panellists, and to everyone who took part.

We look forward to seeing you in Romania in May 2027 for our Spring conference.
